After seeing a theater-themed clinic in Tennessee, Community Care of WV wanted to develop their own version for their new emergency clinic, in a renovated former bank building in downtown Buckhannon. Watkins Design Works selected floor finishes, wall finishes, and furniture for the project. The vinyl floor tile in the waiting area and corridors combines terrazzo-look square tiles and wood plank tiles at a 45 degree angle in the room. The theater-style seating arrangement is focused on a large TV recessed in between two “stage curtains” – walls protruding out and covered in vinyl wallcovering with a pattern that mimics fabric. Classic film and stage posters throughout the facility complete the concept.
